Common questions from visitors
What happens in a worship service?
Worship services at Valley View consist of music, prayer, reading the Bible, and a lesson about what the Bible means. We also take Communion (a sacrament in the Church where we eat bread and drink grape juice) as a way to respond to what God has done in our lives. Services typically last for about an hour.
What should I wear?
Congregants wear a variety of clothing from dressed up to very casual. We encourage attendees to wear whatever they are most comfortable in that will allow them personally to best enter into worship.
Are there activities for my kids?
Our worship service is intentionally intergenerational. We do not just believe our kids are the church of the future but the church of today. We try to engage our kids through our own example, their participation, and tactile learning experiences.
On Sunday morning you may see certain adults wearing a green lanyard. This means they have been background checked and vetted as a children’s volunteer. Feel free to ask them for assistance throughout the service!
Nursery services are available each Sunday for infants and toddlers.
